Florence Pugh

We’ve been obsessed with Florence since Little Women, a feeling which has only intensified thanks to her regular Instagram broadcasts. Whether it’s making pasta or mojitos in her kitchen or singing and dancing around her gym, Florence’s stories have been a refuge and a source of joy in these dark times.

Suku Home

Call it pyjamas, call it lounge wear, it doesn’t matter – Suku’s pieces are the perfect "working from home" outfit recipe. The Indonesian-Melbourne brand sells unique fabrics, hand made into a range of quirky but luxurious pj’s, with bed sheets to match. Looks like we will all be staying in for a while, so invest in something that makes you feel good.

Doja Cat

We loved her long before iso, but it seems lockdown has fueled our adoration for Doja Cat. And the internet is full of brilliant content from her - between her Tik Tok, this video where she paints a naked man, and her ‘Say So’ video, she’s one of the few celebrities posting genuinely relatable content across her platforms.

Tik Tok

In a time full of doom and gloom, Tik Tok has been holding our hand. Isolation and social distancing has left millions of teens to make their own fun, be it COVID-19 memes, choreography or imitations of the PM’s press conferences. Go learn a dance - Savage is our personal fave.

@gramparents

Being confined to our homes probably means getting in (a lot) more screen time. While the vibes on the internet are getting a little weird as our collective consciousness descends into cabin fever, we recently discovered @gramparents on Instagram and it’s the wholesome and random content we didn’t know we needed. It’s just pictures of stylish and interesting seniors, curated into one feed.

Reading Trashy Rom-Com Books

After recently polishing off The Rosie Project, a book that had been collecting dust on my bed side table book stack for years, and was surprisingly thrilled. It was light, fun, smart and most of all - a little bit sappy. Apparently, just what the doctor ordered. Currently taking recommendations for other rom-com gems of the novel breed.

Ugly Delicious

Award-winning chef David Chang stars in this Netflix docu-type series where travels the world exploring the history and techniques of various foods from around the world. Tackling everything from fried chicken, BBQ and pizza he and his guests discuss the traditions and processes behind these foods. Somehow it’s deeply moving and feels like you are on food journey across the planet - all from the confines of your couch.

Sixteen Oceans by Four Tet

Kieran Hebden’s latest album of lo-fi, high tech tunes is a slightly more matured, older sibling of 2017’s New Energy. From start to finish, each track takes distinct new age approach to EDM, weaving in sounds from his earlier music with experimental new beats and melodies. Featuring bird sounds and notes from nature, this album is the perfect soundtrack for those craving the outdoors while house bound.

Cleansing Memes

What might be the most millennial coping mechanism - memes and meme accounts have been keeping a sense of normalcy on our feeds with light hearted humour and pretty pictures. Accounts like @mignonettetakespictures have found a place in our hearts among the infinite scrolling. Seeing aesthetic and relaxing pictures has offered a strange sense of escapism while witty and ironic captions have kept us laughing, even when we didn’t know we needed to.
